Make Em Laugh

Clip from Singing In the Rain featuring the line "The Show Must Go On".  The film was directed by Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly.  This number is called Make Em Laugh performed by Donald O'Connor as Cosmo Brown. I am referenceing thi because I want to try to get the tumbling jovial nature of the movements in my piece.

This is the inspiration for my piece featuring "The show must go on"

The Show must go on

come rain come shine come snow come sleet

Kinetic Type Tutorial

Kinetic Type tutorial -  Jesse Rosten

In researching kinetic type, I found this tutorial which, as the creator says within the peice, just jumps right in.  It gives a quick look at how type can build within the space, alter scale, position, and movement.  Some of the words transition are used as transitional movements and create emphasis on various words.  It also demonstrates how altering the weight of the type can give meaning and convey how the person would say at the words without relying on audio.
